The origins of our repair facility and capabilities are with one of the companies acquired by Fugro in 2001 - Geo Instruments, which was formed in August 1986 from the purchase of the assets in Australia of Geometrics Inc. of California, by the Kevron Group. At that time Geometrics International Corporation were performing airborne surveys, and key personnel were retained to provide a continuity of their experience through to the activities of the new company. The end result is a group of technical staff pre-eminent in their particular specialities, together encompassing a vast store of technical knowledge.

Since 1992, the GMS-2 Magnetic Susceptibility Meter, and the GCM-2 Hand-held Conductivity Meter, have been manufactured in Sydney and sold worldwide. Similarly there is a high-powered transmitter manufactured for EM surveys.
